Our Story

Fiona is a medical and cosmetic tattooist and the founder of Microblading & More - a lovely home-based clinic in Newington.

Following her breast cancer diagnosis in 2005, aged 32, Fiona wanted to somehow give back, showing her gratitude for her life and the miracle of her daughter who was born ten years later.

So, after more than 25 years working in Financial Services, Fiona retrained initially in cosmetic tattooing. This enabled her to help ladies retain the appearance of eyebrows before, during and after chemotherapy.

Ultimately though, Fiona wanted to be able to complete these ladies’ journeys post breast cancer, mastectomy’s and reconstructive surgery; be the last part of their jigsaw; helping them to feel ‘normal’ again and restore body confidence and mental wellbeing.

As an advanced medical and cosmetic tattooist, Fiona can do just that, not just with breast cancer patients, but with those who have suffered scarring due to accidents, surgeries, transitioning or self harm. Even lessening the appearance of stretch marks!

It’s easy to underestimate the emotional effect of these treatments, but restoring body confidence is huge for your mental health. It often becomes a symbol of new beginnings in a body that feels yours again and the first big choice a person can make after such large life events.
